NCA COR/ISO SESSION
During this session, Scott will discuss the key differences between the COR 2020 and ISO 45001:2018 audit systems and their relevance to the construction industry in Ontario. Drawing from his extensive experience with both frameworks, Scott will provide valuable insights into how these systems impact safety management practices and compliance in the construction sector. Presenter: Scott Halling, a Niagara-based safety professional, brings over a decade of experience in occupational health and safety to Ontario's construction industry. As a CRSP and ISO Lead Auditor for 9001 and 45001 standards, Scott also holds COR auditor certification, which he first obtained in 2014. Since becoming IHSA-certified for Ontario's COR program in 2019, he has conducted over 100 COR audits, including 20+ to the COR 2020 standard. His expertise spans ICI, heavy civil, roofing, paving, transportation, rail, and mining sectors. Through Daedalus Safety Group, Scott offers comprehensive OHS consulting, auditing, and training services across Ontario, emphasizing a team-based approach to safety management.
